Free Wi-Fi onboard our ships
Wi-Fi onboard our Stena Line ferries

At the port/terminal
Free Wi-Fi is available in our ports so you can make the most of your time between check-in and boarding! Select Wi-Fi network 'Stena Free wifi'* (powered by The Cloud) and accept the Terms & Conditions to access the free Wi-Fi.

* Network name for Hook of Holland port. Can be different in other ports.

On board
Onboard all Stena Line routes you can surf the web for free in the public areas. All you need to do is select the 'Stena Line Guest Wifi' network onboard and the web is at your fingertips.

Please note: The 'Stena Line Guest Wifi' service will never be as fast as the broadband you might enjoy at home or in other land-based locations. The main reason for this is that all data traffic onboard the ships is via satellite. The speed of the internet depends on the available bandwidth provided by the satellite. Therefore it is not possible to access streaming media sites such as Netflix, YouTube, online games and Skype.

Paid Premium Wi-Fi in the cabins of Stena Hollandica and Stena Britannica
Onboard our ferries to England, Stena Hollandica and Stena Britannica, we now offer paid Premium Wi-Fi service which is available in all cabins and of course public areas on deck 9. For more information, please enquire at our Guest Service onboard.

Open your Wi-Fi settings and select Premium Wi-Fi. Select and pay for the product of your choice.

Phone calls onboard the Stena Line ferry

On board

Whilst you can enjoy the flexibility of using your mobile phone onboard, it is important to note that the mobile network is delivered by Maritime Communications Partner (MCP) and that costs to receive and make calls and/or SMS messages will be higher than those charged whilst on land.

The costs charged to you are not within Stena Line’s control. If your mobile phone picks up the MCP network you should receive an SMS informing you that you are now on the MCP network and that call rates are charged at International mobile phone rates which are considerably higher than your regular call costs, the details of which you should obtain from your own service provider.

No EU-roaming onboard
The EU has decided to remove roaming fees within EU, meaning that no extra costs will be invoiced when using your phone for voice or data in another EU country.

Onboard Stena Lines vessels EU-roaming is not available since the vessels are operating on international water. Rates for roaming at sea are available with your mobile operator.

If you need to go online with your mobile device or computer, we recommend you to use our free Wi-Fi 'Stena Line Guest Wifi'.
