How can I change/cancel a booking? Are there any costs involved?

Change booking

You can edit your booking by clicking on the 'My Stena Line' page and then fill in your email address and password. You will then see an overview of your bookings. Bookings made through the reservations department and return bookings where the outward journey already took place can not be changed online.

The introduction of the Economy, Flexi and Premium prices brought about 3 ways in which an additional fee can be charged when changing a booking.

• Amendment fee Economy. This fee is charged by Stena Line for changing a booking and applies only to Economy tickets. This fee is €35,- per leg.

• If you change your reservation by phone or e-mail a service fee of €7,50 in addition to the €35,- change fee will be charged. If you change your booking online, you save the service fee of €7,50.

• The difference between the original fare - at the time of booking - and the fare at the time of the amendment. This applies to Economy, Flexi and Premium tickets.

When, for example, you bought a ticket for car plus driver for €75,- and you subsequently changed the booking a month later, it may be the case that a similar ticket for car plus driver on that particular sailings now costs €89,-. When we talk about the lowest available price the actual available fare at the time of amendment is meant, as if you made your booking at that moment for the first time.

For example:
For an Economy ticket you will then pay a €35,- amendment fee and an additional € 14,- for the difference in fares that was established in the mean time, this making a total of €49,-. When you have a Flexi or Premium ticket you will only have to pay for the difference in fares (€14,-) that was established in the mean time, whilst there are no additional alteration costs charged for Flexi and Premium tickets. Change your booking online and save €7,50 service fee.

Cancel booking

You can cancel your booking by filling in your e-mail address and password on the page ‘My Stena Line’. Click on the tab 'My Bookings' to get an overview of your bookings. Here you can cancel your booking. You pay €3,50 handling fee per cancelled crossing.

Cancellation and amendment conditions, described as above, do not apply if train is part of your booking.
