Why do I have to register to book on your site?
You only have to register to confirm the booking and when necessary change or cancel it later. To check availability of our ships/sailings or quotation you do not have to register.

After registration you are able to change or even cancel your booking later. When you are a member of our loyalty programme, you can even connect your Compass Point number to your profile. By doing so you automatically save or are able to cash points at your booking. You can also use your profile to speed up your booking.

When you give us your email address when booking with our call center you can check your booking via the internet later. Bookings made with our call center cannot be changed or cancelled via the internet.
Forgot password. What can I do?
Click on 'forgotten your password?' that you can find at 'View/change booking'. Here, you can fill in the email address that you used to register and click on 'send'. The system will automatically send you a reminder of your password by email.
How can I change a booking? Are there any costs involved?
To cancel a booking call our reservations department (0900 - 8123 €0,10 p.m.) or send an e-mail with the bookingsnumber.

The introduction of the Economy, Flexi and Premium prices brought about 2 ways in which an additional fee can be charged when changing a booking.
  1. Amendment fee. This fee is charged by Stena Line for changing a booking and applies only to Economy tickets. This fee is €30.
  2. The difference between the original fare – at the time of booking – and the fare at the time of the amendment. This applies to Economy, Flexi and Premium tickets.
When, for example, you bought a ticket for car plus driver for €75 and you subsequently changed the booking a month later, it may be the case that a similar ticket for car plus driver on that particular sailings now costs €89. When we talk about the lowest available price the actual available fare at the time of amendment is meant, as if you made your booking at that moment for the first time.
For example:
For an Economy ticket you will then pay a €30 amendment fee and an additional €14 for the difference in fares that was established in the mean time, this making a total of €44. When you have a Flexi or Premium ticket you will only have to pay for the difference in fares (€14) that was established in the mean time, whilst there are no additional alteration costs charged for Flexi and Premium tickets.
How can I cancel a booking? Are there any costs involved?
You can cancel your booking by filling in your e-mail address and password on the page ‘My bookings’. You will now get a survey of your bookings.

When your booking is cancelled and you still have an outstanding amount because of the cancellation fee, you can transfer the amount using the transfer advice on the confirmation sheet of the reservation. Here you will find Stena Line’s bank account number.
How do I link my Compass Points account to my profile?
Are you a member of the Dutch Compass Points loyalty program? This enables you to indicate whether you want to save or to cash points at your booking. You can also access your current balance sheet.

To ‘link’ your Compass Points membership you need to have a password. This password (consisting of at minimum 6 characters) was given to you when entering the loyalty programme.

You van also contact compasspoints.nl@stenaline.com. You need to put your e-mail address as well as your membership number in the e-mail.
What does 'automatic login' mean?
As a registered user you can choose to be automatically logged in from the computer you are using. This will speed up the booking process for you, as you will not have to login each time you wish to make a booking or check your previously made bookings. We use cookies to deliver this to you but you can cancel this automatic login at any time.
