Earning is easy...
Earn 10 points with every Euro you spend on reservations, pre-booked facilities onboard (e.g. meals, cabins). Points are added to your account after you have travelled. This is very simple: log in as a member and you automatically link your
eXtra membership number to your booking. You can also contact our call centre and give your membership number to pay or part pay for your booking with your outstanding points. For bookings that are made via our call centre we will charge a € 15 booking fee.
You can only earn points on services provided by Stena Line. This applies to all fares and prices published in the Netherlands. You canot earn points on the amount of your booking paid by points.
The points you earn are valid for 2 years.
Earn more than 2.000 points per year and your membership will be renewed for free. If you earn less than 2.000 points, your membership terminates and your points expire automatically.
Earn 7.500 points per year or more and you'll enjoy the benefits when you are upgraded to Gold Card status.
Every points is worth € 0,01 for Blue Cards and €0,015 for Gold Cards.
...so is redemption
You can use your eXtra balance to (part)pay your next crossing. Stena Line eXtra points cannot be redeemed on special offers, Rail & Sail bookings, packages, group travel and freight bookings.
Booking via the internet:
When you book via www.stenaline.nl you can (part)pay the amount of your crossing with the eXtra points you earned. To redeem points simply log in step 5 of the booking with your e-mail address and password.
If your e-mail is linked to your eXtra account the system automatically will recognize you as a member.
On the page 'Secure Online payment' (step 7) you can choose the payment method 'Payment by eXtra points'.
If your balance is less than the fare of the crossing, you can pay the remaining amount by currency.
An overview of the points you redeemed and the Euros paid is displayed on screen.
If the fare is lower than your balance, you keep the remaining points.
Booking via call center:
Phone the Stena Line Reservations Department, state your eXtra membership number and indicate if you want to pay with points in full or partly.
Please be aware that on bookings to our call center a booking fee applies of €15.
