Very convenient and comfortable
Very good service and facilities. Hollandica more efficient and helpful than Brittanica. Shop could do with more imaginative stocking of popular Dutch and UK drinks and more competitive pricing. Disembarkation procedures at Harwich still very poor compared to Hoek van Holland.
We are using Stenaline at least twice a year and are very pleased with it. Prefer the nightboat so you don't loose any time. Daytrip is long. Cabins are neat, comfortable, good shower. Service on board is good. Kids entertainment during daytrip could be better and needs some variation.
The Wifi is so slow..., we don't use it. I believe if you offer WiFi as a Stenaline, you offer it properly, otherwise just don't.
This was our first trip on this route and we were very impressed with the quality of the ship, the cabins were well designed and spotless, the food in the Metropolitan was excellent and the staff were all friendly and keen to help. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
An OK service much better than some
On the whole the ships are fine. I have been on both several times as a foot passenger. The staff are excellent and polite, the cabins neat and basic but clean (though my thermostat did not work last time so quite cold), wifi very poor, food in the restaurant good quality and well served but pricey. The UK departure and arrival is a disaster and shows the country off very badly: the Dutch side excellent but a long walk.
